Add New Lesson Plan to Lesson Folder

These directions demonstrate how to add a lesson plan to an existing lesson folder.  If a lesson folder has not yet been created, see the Course Map Structure page to learn how to add lesson folders to unit folders.  

 

1.  Hover over the gear icon to the right of the lesson folder where you would like to add the lesson plan.  Select "Add Lesson Plan(s)."  
2. Provide a name for the lesson plan and select the grade level and subject area.  Then, select the appropriate lesson plan template from the drop down menu.  If you do not see the appropriate lesson plan template in the drop down menu, ask your curriculum administrator to share the lesson plan template with you.  Note that the template cannot be added after a lesson plan is created.    
3.  Select "Create Lesson Plans." You should now see the lesson plan contained in the lesson folder.   

 

 


 

Edit Body of Lesson Plan

1. From the course map, select the lesson plan you would like to edit.  The lesson plan will open in a new tab.   

2.  The lesson plan should already be populated with the template that was selected when the lesson plan was created.  To edit a section of the template, hover over the gray heading bar and select "Edit."

 

 

 

 


 

Edit Lesson Plan Settings

1.  From the course map, select the lesson plan you would like to edit.  The lesson plan will open in a new tab.   
2. In the left hand side bar, select "Edit Lesson Plan."   
3. Edit the name, grade levels, description, or subject area for the lesson plan.  Select "Submit" to apply the changes. 

 

 

 


 

Delete Lesson Plan from Course Map

1.  From the course map, hover over the gear icon to the right of the lesson plan.  Select "Remove item."  
2. Confirm that you would like to delete the lesson plan.
